THE NEW HUMANS

Synopsis :

Humanity is on the edge of a precipice. With rapid advancements in technology having increased exponentially since the “Industrial Revolution” of the 19thCentury, our ability to create and use these new tools to augment our environment, and ourselves, has outstripped our ability to keep pace with the ethical considerations that should accompany them.

In the documentary: “The New Humans: How Biotech is Changing Who We Are”, we will seek to critically examine the philosophy of “Transhumanism” as it relates to existing and emerging biotechnologies and weigh the critical ethical and moral concerns it raises. Expert interviews with both prominent transhumanists and anti-transhumanists will be balanced with the stories of people who have directly experienced the impact of the use of biotechnologies in their lives.
